Museum Suspect Had Child Porn on Computer
The news about James von Brunn of Annapolis is not getting any better.
According to court papers, the suspect in the Holocaust Museum shooting had child pornography on his computer. The FBI discovered the child porn upon executing a search warrant of his Annapolis apartment in order to further investigate the crime and any times he may have had to hate groups.
Do Nicole Richie and Joel Madden on a House(s) in Annapolis?
I was checking out the Big Time Listings blog and noticed something interesting.
A post from yesterday talks of Nicole Richie (famous daughter of the famous Lionel Richie) and Joel Madden (Good Charlotte front-man; the Good Charlotte guys are originally from Waldorf) buying a new home in L.A.
What caught my eye was this:
–Richie and Madden also may own some properties in Annapolis, Md. (near where Madden grew up) as well; the same LLC company that purchased the Bowery unit owns several properties in Annapolis as well, according to public records;
Has anyone heard anything about this before? It is news to me. Information about celebrity owned homes in a town/city usually spreads like wildfire. Perhaps they are investment properties and that is why I’ve never heard of it before?
I surely think they are famous enough to get caught up in the local gossip mill.
Naval Academy Party Cancelled
I am guilty of using a sensational headline for this post.
An unnamed junior attending the Naval Academy was busted in California trying to import 150 lbs. of marijuana from Mexico. The 24-year-old is being held in San Diego, California as the investigation continues.
He was busted at the border by U.S. Customs on June 10th while trying to cross back into the U.S. at San Ysidro, California.
Breaking News: Child Hit by Car in Annapolis
Approximately 3:35 PM:
I was told by a witness that a child was hit by a car in the parking lot of the Allen Apartments in Annapolis just a few minutes ago.
Allen Apartments is located off Center Street and Forest Drive (near Old Solomons Island Road) and is the same place a SUV with a lady and child in it ran into a building earlier this year.
At this point, I do not have any more facts, as the ambulance, fire engine and multiple police cars are still on the scene. The child has yet to be transported to the hospital.
Update 3:50 PM: The ambulance just pulled out of the neighborhood.

Last Army-Navy Game to be Played at FedExField
The last Army-Navy game will be played at FedExField on December 10, 2009.
The last game of the season is typically played in Philadelphia, which is almost halfway between the Naval Academy and Westpoint.
It is debatable if the move will give the Navy any sort of home turf advantage. Before now, the final game had only been held in Maryland seven times and the Navy had a winning record of 4-3, which is still less than its series record of 53-49-7.
Redskins premium club customers will be able to purchase tickets to the game. The actual ticket sale will be announced closer to the actual game.

Too Many Black Eyes for Politics
I would love nothing more than to run for and win public office. I like to think that I am incorruptible. I only say I think that because they say that power corrupts and if that statement is true, then perhaps I am not incorruptible. I have never had a position of power to test myself. I like to think I’d pass muster though.
What upsets me though is that I did a lot of dumb things when I was younger. I am not upset that there is evidence of such. I am upset that even though I have gotten past it, people may still choose to hold it against me. There is plenty of dirt on me out there.
I believe in living my life to the fullest and if somebody doesn’t agree with some of my choices, I am still going to die happy and having lived a long and fulfilling life.
Special interest groups would eat me alive. Apparently, living your life and learning lessons that help you deal with what life throws at you is not an endearing trait to these folks. The fact that I have had experiences that prove I have walked in the shoes that many others have walked in disqualifies me.
Teenager Missing from Severna Park Has Been Found
Alexander Stevens, 17, who was last seen after he left his house on his bike at around 8:30 AM on Saturday morning has been located by police.
He was located at about 1 AM Wednesday morning near a convenience store at Route 2 and Earleigh Heights Road. He was with his friends when police found him and appeared to be in good health.
Worst Area Doctor: Dr. Harold C. Thomas, MD at BWMC
Over the past few days I have been reflecting on the major surgery I had late last year.

One thing that still disgusts me is the “service” I received from Dr. Harold C. Thomas, MD, a doctor in the emergency department at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
I had this doctor (pictured on right) prior to my last visit there and was never satisfied with his service. If he even gives you the opportunity to say something, you feel like he isn’t listening to what you actually say.
With this being a public forum, I do not want to go into too many personal details about my health.
What I will say is that during my last visit he essentially said I was not sick and that nothing serious was wrong with me. This was in despite of the fact that I could not even stand straight up and was crying. I expressed concern with his diagnosis (or lack thereof) and mentioned that the last time he said nothing was wrong and discharged me I ended up back later and was admitted for a few days.
He did not want to hear anything of this. He got loud with me and I got loud back. He got louder and I got louder.
Next thing you know, I am being escorted out of the ER by three to five security guards (I cannot remember the actual number). It was the most humiliating thing I had ever experienced. To make matters worse, it was very early in the A.M. and I had to walk home. It was more than a mile away.
Getting worst by the hour, I ended up at Arundel Medical Center a few hours later. Long story short, I was admitted and had major surgery. I ended up being in the hospital for twelve days and lost more than 30 pounds.
Needless to say, Arundel Medical Center is a great hospital and has great doctors that fixed me. In fact, I have not had any major health concerns since the surgery.
Please, please, please, if you ever find yourself at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, refuse to be seen by Dr. Thomas. He is the most disrespectful and unknowledgable doctor I have ever encountered. Having Crohn’s Disease, I have meet and have been treated by many doctors. His inflated ego and poor attitude will likely prevent him from being able to properly treat you.
If you ever have a choice of hospitals, please head to AAMC. I have had numerous bad experiences at BWMC but never a single bad one at AAMC.
Annapolis Alderman & Mayoral Candidate Charged with Sex Offense & Assault
Samuel Shropshire, alderman for Annapolis’ ward 7 and a mayoral candidate, was charged last night with grabbing the crotch of a 21-year-old man in his car.
He has been charged with misdemeanor assault and a fourth-degree sex offense.
He has been released on his own recognizance and will be holding a press conference at city council chambers.
