Crofton Family to Sue School System
The parents of Christopher Jones, the 14-year-old boy killed while riding his bike in Crofton, announced that they will be filing a lawsuit against Anne Arundel County Public Schools within two weeks.
The basis of the suit is that the family — and their attorneys — feel that the school system did not do enough to protect Christopher from bullies. His death occurred back in May, a few weeks after he was transferred from Arundel High to South River High in response to the bullying he endured.
The school system will not comment on the suit but says that they have strengthened its policy against bullying.

There are many ways for homeschoolers to meet other kids. Studies have shown that homeschoolers have a more positive self-concept than their schooled peers. They are more likely to have friends of different ages and to be free of the cliquish, exclusive behavior so common in school.

Some engrossing thoughts here. Are you hopeful this is the valid way to look at it though? My own experience is that everyone should pretty much live and let live because what one person considers just — another person simply does not. Individuals are going to do what they want to do. In the end, they always do. The best we can wish for is to reveal a few things here and there that hopefully, allows them to make just a little better informed decision. Otherwise, great post.
