Anne Arundel Schools Budget Problems

Last week the Anne Arundel County school board approved a $977.4 operating budget and a $213.8 million capital budget.
The budget is on its way to County Executive John Leopold who has stated that it will be “nearly impossible” to fund the budget.

Five Anne Arundel County Rivers Opened for Yellow Perch Fishing

The following Anne Arundel County rivers have been opened for yellow perch fishing:

Magothy River
Severn River
South River
West River
Patapsco River

They, along with two other rivers, had been previously closed for such fishing for the past 20 years.
